The Mbala Tourism website promotes the development of Eco, Agro, Heritage & Well-Being Tourism in the Northern Province. Click on each tourism type to learn more.
The DISCOVER MBALA marketing campaign promotes the features of Mbala as a perfect tourist destination for international and local travellers.
Often missed but never forgotten once seen, Mbala has a range of sightseeing locations and holiday activities for visitors to enjoy time and time again.
The website will feature some interesting articles on Mbala, list local attractions and will provide a guide to the area.
Tourism And Hospitality Services
The project co-ordinators will be tasked with arranging for local businesses to provide tour guide services and tourist activities for individuals and groups:-
- nature walks by the lakes, waterfalls, caves, hot springs, rivers and streams
- hikes, mountain climbing and cycling
- golf club and wellness spa therapy
- bush camping and fishing
- local markets and arts & craft gift shops
- cultural restaurant dining and local bars
- traditional village outings
- museum and local monuments trips
- local coffee and produce farms
Tourism Support Services
The project co-ordinators will focus on the promotion of general amenities, tour operators, transport providers, lodges and hotels, hospitality and tourist service businesses and attractions.

The project co-ordinators will also support the development of tourism businesses. If you would like to open a tourism business or develop an existing one please contact the project co-ordinators and they will do their best to assist.
You will be able to visit the project co-ordinators at the Tourism Information Desk in the Tourist Gift Shop once it has officially opened inside the Cocoa Basket Cultural Centre, The Shopping Complex, Lungu Road (near the Market Square) in the centre of town.
Mbala Tourism is a website that was initiated by Natural Vibrations Limited, a local Zambian Company. The marketing is managed by Simple Diverse Solutions Limited.
This development project to promote tourism is sponsored by the African Diaspora NGO known as The Cocoa Basket Initiative Limited which is based in the UK.
